Fireball XL5

For those not familiar with Fireball XL5, this was a 1960s puppet series created by husband and wife team Gerry and Sylvia Anderson depicting the adventures of Steve Zodiac, his scientist friend, Venus and their robot pilot, Robert. They would fly missions for the World Space Patrol in their spaceship Fireball XL5.

Gerry and Sylvia Anderson also created such iconic series as Captain Scarlett and the Mysterons, Joe 90, Supercar and The Thunderbirds. All models, characters and sets were made by hand and there was not a digital item in sight.

During the Covid 19 pandemic of 2020 I needed to give myself an animation project and settled on reimaging the opening titles of the TV series.
