Isaac Newton Discovers Gravity

As with the ‘2001’ video this short animation begins with Richard Strauss’s composition ‘Also Sprach Zarathustra” as its theme. Whilst the apple does not actually land on Newton’s head it serves to illustrate the ‘discovery’ of gravity with the planets orbiting the sun, a space station reminiscent of that in 2001 and closing with the world’s first artificial satellite, Sputnik.
