Tiny Planets
‘Tiny Planet’ is a technique in Photoshop for displaying 360 degree panoramic images. Normally a panoramic image is a very wide but not very deep image. This is not always great for printing unless you print to a rather large size. By using certain techniques in Photoshop culminating in the ‘Polar Co-ordinates’ filter you can wrap the entire picture into a smaller, square, space where the image takes on a shape reminiscent of a large ball or a ‘Tiny Planet’. I could explain further but I think it best that the images speak for themselves.
